Ego, Power And Greed

There's one other point I should make concerning the defintion of survival.

On the page which you were on before you clicked here, as I was defining survivalism, I was endeavoring to use words that have neutral connotations.

I set out to do this, to the extent possible, when I noted that a characteristic of the purpose of survival as it shows up for human beings includes valuing acquisition, prestige, and domination.

But, just so you know, when I use the word "prestige", I mean "ego".

Similarly, when I use the word "domination", I mean "power".

Finally, when I use the words "value acquisition", I am referring to "greed."

So, if we were to use these other, most connotatively charged words, it could be said that the purpose of survival places great importance on ego, power, and greed.
